Christy Walters

As a member of the content marketing team, Christy helps teachers and administrators discover all the features, knacks, and best practices for using Newsela and Formative for real student engagement. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and an M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction focusing on children’s literature. Before joining Newsela, Christy taught middle school ELA, social studies, math, and STEAM, and worked as a children’s and youth services librarian.
